About the Author
Istvan Novak is an associate and the chief technology consultant of SoftwArt, a small Hungarian IT consulting company. He works as a software architect and community evangelist. In the last 20 years, he participated in more than 50 enterprise software development projects. In 2002, he co-authored the first Hungarian book about .NET development. In 2007, he was awarded with the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) title, and in 2011 he became a Microsoft Regional Director. As the main author, he contributed in writing the Visual Studio 2010 and .NET 4 Six-In-One book (Wiley, 2010), and in Beginning Windows 8 Application Development (Wiley, 2012). He is the main author of Beginning Visual Studio LightSwitch Development book (Wiley, 2011). Istv�n holds master’s degree from the Technical University of Budapest, Hungary, and also has a doctoral degree in software technology. He lives in Dunakeszi, Hungary, with his wife and two teenage daughters. He is a passionate scuba diver. You may have a good chance of meeting him underwater at the Red Sea in any season of the year.

The material is good.

The material is good. Would be 5 stars if it was proofed better. I came from only having an introductory course in Angular and LOVE the style this book is written in: Small, working examples.
If you need to learn Angular, get this book. Its clear demonstration by example. There is no 'getting lost in the details' S the author stays on track, which keeps me on track. This will be a good reference to keep on hand as well. If you're an MVC, or specifically, a dot.Net MVC developer, you'll probably appreciate Angular and how well its explained here. A few typos aside, I learned Angular.Js with this book.

Excellent book for learning Angular JS. Fully Recommend

This is an excellent book for learning Angular.js provided you are already familiar with Web development and Javascript. I absolutely loved the approach the author used to demonstrate each piece of functionality by providing clear simple working examples at each step. The book is very well organized into chapters introducing new concepts and containing a series of simple examples within each chapter building on each other.
The only negative is that it is clear that English is not the first language of the author. The book littered with grammatical mistakes, poorly constructed sentences and odd choices of words.. I debated taking one star off the review because of this, but ultimately decided not to. The book just does its job too well to get anything less than 5 stars.
I think the author is a natural at explaining technical concepts and he should certainly keep up the good work. However, I suggest that he work with a good editor to help him clean up the english.

Teaches AngularJS using an easy to understand layered approach. Two thumbs up!

Istvan does a great job of building up knowledge of Angular JS in very appropriate stages. He starts with the basics and has you create a primitive diving log application and then has you progressively improving the application while connecting that back to important concepts. It is a well written book and I'd recommend it to anyone trying to learn Angular JS.
